Sounds like you need to ask employees at both businesses what it's like to work for those particular companies at each location. What are the working conditions like, job expectations from your future boss, opportunities for advancement, 40 hrs. per week M-F with weekends off, etc. etc. Then ask yourself what your looking for that will make only you happy and not a relative, friend, or someone off the internet. Are you looking for something permanent that you can retire from or just a temporary job that will lead to future goals? If your just looking for something Temporarily permanent then a management trainee / manager will always look good on future resumes. Weigh the benefits from each job and determine which will be more beneficial to your long term plans. I'm sure you could find others on the net who have worked for both FedEx and Sam's, but their job does not necessarily mean your job will be exactly like theirs. For instance, someone may have had a very good boss who treated them with respect and cared about employees while your future boss may be a complete jerk than many do not care to work with. The best way to determine what a job has to offer is from the source itself. I remember one time catching somebody getting off work who was nice enough to supply me with all the information I needed about a job I was interested in. I'm not saying this is the way to go about it, but it's always helpful to find someone who has first hand knowledge. I know it may be too late for this now, but hopefully help you in the future. Good luck with your venture and whatever decision you make.
